SUSTAIN-HPC 2026
SUSTAIN-HPC 2026 is a half-day workshop on sustainable and green computing for high-performance and distributed systems, held in conjunction with the 55th International Conference on Parallel Processing (ICPP 2026) in Singapore.

About the Workshop
As HPC and distributed computing infrastructures continue to scale, energy consumption, carbon footprint, cooling cost, and resource efficiency have become first-order design constraints. SUSTAIN-HPC brings together researchers and practitioners working across architectures, systems, runtimes, scheduling, applications, data centers, and emerging computing substrates to rethink how future computing systems can be designed, operated, and evaluated sustainably.
The central theme of the workshop is sustainable computing at system scale, rather than device technology alone. The workshop welcomes contributions across architecture, system software, runtime systems, programming models, scheduling, applications, benchmarking, and infrastructure optimization.
A key emphasis is the role of emerging computing substrates as enabling technologies for sustainable systems — including non-volatile memory, processing-in-memory, near-data computing, neuromorphic computing, photonic and optical computing, analog computing, domain-specific accelerators, quantum devices, and other beyond-CMOS technologies — and how they can be integrated into practical HPC and distributed computing systems through cross-layer co-design, programming models, runtime systems, energy-aware scheduling, carbon-aware orchestration, and workload-driven evaluation.
